Well, it is a beautiful day. The sky is blue and is adorned with cumulus clouds. This type of weather really excites the travel freaks to move out of their place and go on a long drive with their family or friends. You take out your car and is prepared to go, but something may hamper your mood. The beautiful view is obstructed because of the scratches on your windshield.
There can be multiple reasons for the windshield getting scratched. It can be due to numerous reasons, but the most vital part that we often do not pay heed is the wiper. Wipers and windshield go hand in hand i.e., if the wiper is damaged; it ruins the quality of the windshield with overall scratches.
Few points which warns you that the wiper needs to be replaced-
- If your wipers smear water in both directions then, probably you have worn blades
- Sound of your wipers is chattering away on your wipers; it is because of a build-up of wax, oil or grease which prevents the blade from cleanly wiping the water away
How you can resolve it?
The blades should be making full contact on the windshield and the blade arms should be parallel to the glass. If the arm is bent, use some pliers to carefully twist it until it is parallel with the glass again.
Any damage or breakage to your wiper can make driving troublesome. It will obstruct the view while driving and will prove dangerous. Always ensure that your wipers are in good condition and if not, then replace it with a newer one. It will not only help in providing a clear view, but also it will avoid any scratches on the windshield.
Hence, always take care of such small things that can actually cause a big trouble.
